GRADES 6-8 INTRO CLINIC

Fremont Warriors Wrestling Club will be running an introductory four session wrestling clinic open to boys and girls 6–8th grade and open to all attendance areas in Fremont. Clinics are for beginners only due to space restrictions. Wrestling shoes are not required for the intro clinics, but socks must be worn  on mats (no tennis shoes or bare feet). Athletic, breathable clothes are recommended (i.e. no denim). If interested, there will be a middle school wrestling season that will run from January to March 2025 with practices Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the opportunity to compete in several weekend tournaments in conjunction with the East Bay Wrestling League. The program is open to all middle school-aged youth and there are separate divisions for boys and girls in competition.

We aim to teach wrestling through an interactive, play-based environment which will allow all participants to develop foundational athletic and self defense skills as well as promote physical fitness, self confidence and accountability. Wrestling is uniquely accessible with the ability for boys and girls of all sizes to compete and find success.

HOW TO SIGN UP

There are no clinic participation fees, however, all participants are required to have an active USA Wrestling Membership (for insurance purposes). Create a USA Wrestling profile and purchase an annual athlete membership (cost $65) here.

Once you have a USA Wrestling membership, interested participants will need to sign up for our Intro Clinic through WrestlingIQ: girls sign up here and boys sign up here - our system to track parental consent, attendance, and to communicate with team members and families.

Both steps need to be completed prior to being cleared for practice.
